On 4 June 2026 the World Bank Group's Board of Executive Directors approved a new Country Partnership Framework for the Republic of Yemen covering fiscal years 2026–2030, alongside four new operations totalling $285m.
The financing comprises the Yemen Health, Nutrition and WASH Project at $94m; the Yemen Improved Water Management and Irrigation for Sustainability and Efficiency Project at $153.6m; a third additional financing for the Yemen Integrated Urban Services Emergency Project II at $21m; and the Modernizing Public Institutions and Systems in Yemen Project at $20m.
The framework's priorities are improving nutrition, expanding electricity access, strengthening agribusiness, mariculture and fisheries, women's economic participation and access to services, and governance and institutional capacity. It draws on the Yemen Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction Trust Fund — co-financed by the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Switzerland — and the EU–IFC Enhancing Private Sector Growth in Yemen Trust Fund.
