Airlines gradually restore Middle East services

International airlines are gradually restoring Middle East routes after weeks of suspensions. Turkish Airlines has resumed services to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Damascus, Beirut and Amman; Emirates restarted Dubai–Bahrain on 15 August 2026; and Air France resumed Dubai and Riyadh on 26 August.
Others have extended suspensions. Singapore Airlines pushed its Dubai resumption to 24 October, and Air Canada, KLM, British Airways and Finnair have extended suspensions on various routes. The National reports that British Airways has permanently suspended its Jeddah service and reduced frequencies to Doha and Riyadh.
The picture differs by route and by week; there is no single regional schedule. Most carriers expect gradual restoration through the second half of 2026 depending on regional stability.
