BNP Paribas receives Saudi regional headquarters licence
Saudi Arabia · 4 days ago
The Saudi Press Agency announced on 25 August 2026 that BNP Paribas has registered a regional headquarters in Riyadh, following a meeting in Paris between Investment Minister Fahad bin Abduljalil Al-Saif and the group's chairman, Jean Lemierre.
BNP joins international financial institutions already in the programme, among them Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank, within a total of more than 750 multinationals now headquartered regionally in Riyadh.
The regional-headquarters programme is tied to public procurement: a foreign company seeking contracts with Saudi government bodies is required to hold a regional headquarters inside the kingdom. The group's regional operations span Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain.
