Tunisia's solar market accelerates

Tunisia added 120MW of solar capacity in 2025, part of the 1.1GW added between North African markets — Egypt, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia — in the same year.
The acceleration shows most clearly in imports: Tunisia's rose from 10MW in April 2025 to 80MW in April 2026, annual growth of close to 700%.
This sits within a continental picture in which Africa recorded its fastest year of solar growth in 2025, with installations up 54% year on year.
