Jordan · 10 weeks ago

On 17 June 2026 the IMF Executive Board completed the fifth review under the Extended Fund Facility and the second review under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility for Jordan, releasing about $188m.

The disbursement comprises $134m under the EFF and $54m under the RSF, from the $1.2bn package approved by the Fund in January 2024. The programmes aim to safeguard macroeconomic and fiscal stability, reduce public debt and support private-sector-led job creation.

The Fund welcomed progress in improving the business environment, enhancing market competition, increasing labour market flexibility and reducing the costs of moving businesses into the formal economy, describing these as important steps for growth and job creation.
