Deutsche Bank receives Saudi regional headquarters licence

Saudi Arabia · 7 weeks ago

Deutsche Bank received a regional headquarters licence from the Saudi Ministry of Investment on 8 July 2026, establishing its regional headquarters in Riyadh.

The bank says the headquarters will act as a central platform for regional management, strategic decision-making and corporate functions across the Middle East, strengthening its ability to serve clients in corporate banking, investment banking and wealth management. It is the bank's third legal entity in the kingdom, alongside its Riyadh branch and Deutsche Securities Saudi Arabia.

The licence opens access to government and state-linked contracts: Saudi Arabia requires a regional headquarters inside the kingdom to contract with government bodies. Deutsche joins institutions including Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and BlackRock.
